Despite playing two years without the benefit of the three-point arc, Stephen Jackson remains USI’s all-time leading scorer with 2,216 career points as of his USI Hall of Fame induction night in 2008. One of only two players in USI men’s basketball history to eclipse the 2,000-point plateau, Jackson currently holds 10 school records, including career field goals made (954) and career scoring average (19.6 points per game). Jackson was the GLVC Player of the Year in 1985 after averaging a school-record 21.4 points per contest. He was the GLVC Newcomer of the Year in 1983 and was named All-Great Lakes Region three times as well as All-GLVC three times.
