Shelly Scott-Coleman is part of the foundation that the current USI women’s basketball team is built on. She was an All-GLVC and Academic All-GLVC performer during her playing days from 1987-92 and finished her career as USI’s all-time leading scorer (1,414) and rebounder (745). In addition, Scott-Coleman finished her career as USI’s all-time leader in field goals made (504) and free throws made (385). Scott still ranks fourth all-time in rebounding and fifth in scoring. She still holds the record for free throws made in a single game (19), free throw percentage in a single game (14-14), and rebounds in a single season (281).
