A member of USI’s inaugural Division I men’s soccer team in 1992, Shane Gibson was USI’s first men’s soccer GLVC Player of the Year in 1990. Gibson earned All-Region honors in 1990 and was an All-State as well as an All-GLVC honoree in 1990 and 1991. Gibson, who is second all-time at USI in career goals scored (47) and points (122), was one of the team captains in 1990 and 1991, and a member of three GLVC championship teams.
