DeJuan “Spider” Rowser was one of USI’s first stars on the hardwood in the late 1970s. Rowser finished his career as the program’s second-leading scorer (1,226) and was the second player in school history to reach 1,000 career points. Rowser also finished his career as the program’s all-time leader in career rebounds (691). He was an outstanding athlete and still ranks in the top 10 all-time at USI in scoring and rebounding. His jersey was retired 1993 after he passed away due to cancer.
