EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team closed its fall campaign with a 6-3 setback to Bellarmine University in a non-conference match Sunday afternoon at the USI Tennis Courts.
USI (0-1) opened the match by taking two of the three doubles contests to take a 2-1 lead heading into singles play.
The Knights (3-0), however, won at number one and two singles to retake the lead, then held on to the lead by winning at number three and six singles.

Katie Jo Clagg (Terre Haute, Indiana) posted the Screaming Eagles' lone singles victory with her 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (7-5) win at number four singles. Clagg also teamed up with fellow classmateÂ
Gretchen Cantwell (Vincennes, Indiana) for an 8-6 victory at number two doubles.
The Eagles open GLVC play March 20 at Kentucky Wesleyan College. They will visit Bellarmine for a GLVC match the following day in Louisville, Kentucky.
