Amber Fusner and freshman
Lilyanna Blais were among six Screaming Eagles to post personal-best times Friday as University of Southern Indiana Women's Track & Field concluded the regular-season at the Billy Hayes Invitational.
Fusner and Blais were second and third, respectively, in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with two of the top six times in the Ohio Valley Conference this season. Fusner crossed the finish line in a personal-best time of 11 minutes, 14.38 seconds, good enough for fifth in the conference, while Blais posted the league's sixth-best steeplechase time with her personal-record mark of 11:17.12.
The Screaming Eagles saw four of their student-athletes earn new PRs in the 800 meters on Friday.
Freshman
Mackenzi Thomas was eighth with a personal-record time of 2:17.97, while sophomore
Maggie Smith was ninth with a personal-best time of 2:19.22. Sophomores
Lauryn Speicher (2:20.55) and sophomore
Emma Deweese also churned out PRs for USI in the 800 meters.
USI returns to action May 14-16 when it competes at the 2026 Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Championships in Little Rock, Arkansas.
