ST. LOUIS, Mo.- University of Southern Indiana Women's Tennis fell to Southeast Missouri State University in the first round of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament, 4-0, on Friday afternoon.

Doubles
The Redhawks claimed possession of the doubles point with wins on the No. 2 and 3 courts. First to finish was the No. 2 court, where juniors
Anais Negrail and
Enna Krnjic fought a close battle before losing to the SEMO pair (6-3). To clinch the point, the Redhawks then marked a win on the No. 3 court over
Rylie Wilkison and
Claire Meyer (6-4). Before leaving the match unfinished on the No. 1 court, juniors
Antonia Ferrarini and
Sofia Davidoff were within one point (3-4) against the Redhawk pair.

Singles
SEMO managed to clinch the match with three singles wins on courts two, four, and six. First Eagle to drop their match was Meyer on the No. 6 court in straight points (6-0, 6-0). Then sophomore Wilkison fought hard for points on the No. 4 court before dropping the match (6-1, 6-1). Last to finish and close the match for SEMO was Second Team All-OVC member Davidoff, who battled hard in her match on the No. 2 singles court (6-3, 6-2).

Negrail was tied up in the second set of her match in the No. 5 slot before it was left unfinished (6-4, 3-3 (uf)). Ferrarini, First Team All-OVC honoree, was battling hard on the No. 1 singles court before it was retired (6-3, 3-0 (uf)). Krnjic was also competing solidly in the second set of her match on court three (6-3, 4-1 (uf)).
