Eagles fall short at Lindenwood

ST. CHARLES, Mo.- University of Southern Indiana Women's Tennis dropped a close match, 4-3, at Lindenwood University in a midweek Ohio Valley Conference game Wednesday afternoon.
 
Doubles
The Lions were the first to win a doubles match, taking down junior Claire Meyer and sophomore Rylie Wilkison on the three slot (6-1). Then the Eagles evened the tally with a win from the No. 1 pair Antonia Ferrarini and Sofia Davidoff (6-3). With a win over junior Anais Negrail and Enna Krnjic, Lindenwood clinched the doubles point.
 
Singles
The Screaming Eagles split the singles matches, winning three out of the six. The first Eagle to claim victory was Negrail on the number five court. To earn her fifth win of the season, Davidoff recorded the Eagles' second point on court two (6-4, 6-3). To round out the USI points was OVC Singles Player of the Week, Ferrarini, adding her sixth win for 2026 (6-3, 6-2).
