EVANSVILLE, Ind.- University of Southern Indiana Women's Golf resumes competition down in beautiful Oldsmar, Florida, on Monday and Tuesday. The Screaming Eagles will battle in the Butler University Spring Invitational at Ardea Country Club (South Course).
The tournament features 36 holes with 18 on Monday and Tuesday. Ardea Country Club is a 72 par and 6,119 yards of distance. The 14-team tournament will be a shotgun start at 9:15 a.m. on both days. USI competes against Butler University, Belmont University, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Indiana State University, Indiana University Indianapolis, Longwood University, Merrimack College, Monmouth University, University of Ohio, Quinnipiac University, University of Illinois-Chicago, Valparaiso University, and Western Michigan University.
The trip marks the second of the season for the Eagles after placing sixth of 12 teams at the Alabama State University Spring Classic. USI finished the spring opener shooting a 333 (+45) in 36 holes. Freshman
Fernanda Vera led the Eagles, placing 18
th (82, 81), while freshman
Brianna Kirsch earned the best round on day two, finishing 26
th (86, 79).
The Eagles will use the same lineup from Alabama State featuring senior
Baileigh Schneider, freshman
Zhana Navato, freshman
Camryn Luthy, Kirsch, and Vera.
