LOUISVILLE, Ky.- University of Southern Indiana Men's Swimming and Diving fell to Bellarmine University 135-70 in a versus meet Saturday afternoon.
The Screaming Eagles secured three first-place wins against Bellarmine, including victories in both relay races.
In the 200 Medley event, the USI team included freshmen
Garrett Gabhart and
Jerrin Dale, sophomore
Stokes Knight, and Junior
Sam Smith with a time of 1.33.80.
Smith took the first-place win in the 200 fly race at 1:55.56 for the only individual win for the Eagles. This is his second consecutive win in the 200 fly, taking first in the victory over the University of Evansville last weekend.
Knight and Smith were a part of the final event win, along with sophomore
Jude Winnington and junior
Joey Smith in the 200 free relay (1:25.97), finishing nearly two whole seconds before Bellarmine.
Next up for the Eagles is a trip to Indianapolis to compete in the House of Champions meet, hosted by Indiana University Indianapolis, on November 20
th through 22
