EVANSVILLE, Ind.- On Tuesday afternoon, it was announced that University of Southern Indiana Men's Swimming and Diving swept this week's Summit League Swimmer and Diver of the Week awards.
 
For the first time this season, senior Lane Pollock received the Kwik Star Men's Peak Diver of the Week award. Meanwhile, Freshman Jerrin Dale garnered the Kwik Star Men's Swimmer of the Week accolade. This is the first time that the Screaming Eagles have swept both weekly awards on the men's side in program history.
 
This recognition marks the fourth time Pollock has earned this honor in his career. In his most recent outing, he captured the one-meter dive title with an impressive 254.70 score. The senior also took second in the three-meter dive, posting a 282.60, just three points shy of first place.
 
Dale, a freshman, not only earned his first Summit League honors but also shattered the USI 100 breaststroke record with a 56.60 in his podium-topping performance against the University of Evansville. He followed up by winning the 200 breaststroke with a 2:06.97 time.
 
The performance of Pollock and Dale helped lift the team to a 172-126 victory over crosstown foe Evansville on Saturday. This meet marked the team's first victory of the season.
 
USI will be back in action Saturday, November 1, as they travel to Louisville, Kentucky, to take on Bellarmine University.
