LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Sophomore
Tyler Zimmerman posted a top-five finish Friday to lead University of Southern Indiana Men's Track & Field at the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic.
Zimmerman clocked a personal-best time of eight minutes, 41.52 seconds in the 3,000 meters and was fourth in the 53-competitor field.
The finish was one of three top-10 placements for the Screaming Eagles Friday. Junior
Landen Swiney was 10th in the 3,000-meters with a personal-best time of 8:47.77, while freshman
Zach Wells carded a 10th-place finish in the mile with a time of 4:21.18.
USI returns to Louisville and the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center next week when they compete in the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational January 31-February 1.
