LOUISVILLE, Ky.—University of Southern Indiana Men's and Women's Track & Field recorded another 12 personal-best times this weekend at the Jim Freeman/Clark Woods Invitational Friday and Saturday after scoring 11 PRs the previous week at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
USI's women had seven of the PRs, with three coming in the 1,500 meters, where sophomore
Maggie Smith posted a career-best time of four minutes, 44.59 for a 22nd-place finish.
Junior
Sara Livingston had the Screaming Eagles' top finish on the weekend, crossing the finish line in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 11th place with a season-best time of 11:53.83.
Freshman
Brady Tremayne led the Screaming Eagles' men with a second-place finish in the 5,000 meters. He finished the race with a personal-best time of 15:03.92, one of five PRs for USI's men on the weekend.
Juniors
Landen Swiney and
Mukal Verma were fourth and sixth, respectively, in the 5,000, while senior
Isaac Stanford added a sixth-place finish in the 1,500 meters with a season-best time of 3:50.34.
USI returns to action May 1-2 when it competes at the Music City Challenge in Nashville, Tennessee.
