EVANSVILLE, Ind.- University of Southern Indiana Swimming and Diving opens their season at Indiana University Indianapolis competing in a double dual against the Jaguars and Northern Kentucky University at 11 a.m CT on Saturday.
Both squads enter their third season of the program's existence looking to build off the strides made last season in year two. Both teams jumped from eighth to seventh place finishes in the Summit League Championships from year one to two.

USI Women
The 2023-24 women's season brought wins against Valparaiso University, Eastern Illinois University, and Rose Hulman University. The Eagles placed fifth out of eight teams at the A3 Performance Invitational and sixth out of ten programs at the Indiana Intercollegiate Meet.
14 out of 21 USI records were broken for the women with nine coming at the Summit League Championships. Sophomore
Caiya Cooper leads the Eagles in records contributed to with six.
The Eagles boast another young roster consisting of 23 athletes featuring seven freshman, five sophomores, and 11 freshmen. Freshman diver
Anna Bunnell and sophomore breaststroke and individual medley specialist
Hayden Shurtz were named to the preseason conference swimmers and divers to watch list. Shurtz leads the Eagles in individual records with three. USI Women's swimming and diving was projected to finish sixth in the Summit League preseason polls.
USI Men
The 2023-24 men's season was highlighted by wins against Valparaiso, EIU, and Rose Hulman. The Eagles also showed improvement placing four at the Indiana Intercollegiate Meet, placing fifth at the A3 Performance Invitational, and placing seventh the Summit Championships.
USI broke 16 out of 21 school record in season two as multiple underclassmen took huge strides along with freshman making immediate impacts. 12 of those records were broken at the Summit League Championships. Sophomore
Cole Baker leads the Eagles contributing to seven school records.
The 2024-25 squad features a 29-man roster with eight freshman, nine sophomores, and 12 juniors. Junior diver

Jude Winnington highlight the preseason conference swimmers and divers to watch list for the Eagles. USI is projected to finish seventh in the Summit League this season based on a coach voted preseason poll.
