QUINCY, Ill.--- University of Southern Indiana Women's Tennis (2-4) defeated the Quincy Hawks (1-3), 6-1 Saturday evening.
DOUBLES:
The Screaming Eagles junior duo of Kylie Skepnek and Lindsey McCord clipped their opponents easily, 6-3 in the No. 3 doubles match.
Then, the freshmen paring of Lauren Rowe and Rachel McCorkle clinched the doubles point in the No. 1 match dropping foes in a tiebreaker set, 7-6 (7-4).
SINGLES:
Skepnek kept her big night rolling with a second victory coming in the No. 5 singles in straight sets.
After the Eagles dropped the No. 1 singles, senior Lauryn Thompson discarded her in No. 4 singles' foe in straight as well, 6-3, 6-3.
Rowe also had multiple wins on the evening as she breezed her way through a No. 2 singles match victory, 6-3, 6-0, which clinched the match for Eagles.
Sophomore Chloe McIsaac had the quite battle and prevailed in the tiebreaker set, 10-2 to give USI another point for good measure.
Sophomore Jasmine Shireman poured it on in to grab the final point for the Eagles with a straight-sets victory in the No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-2.
Up Next: USI is scheduled for another road match, this time with the Panthers from Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro, Kentucky on March 30.
