The University of Southern Indiana women's golf team started the 2003-04 season in sixth place after the first round of the Ferris State Bulldog Fall Invitational Saturday in Big Rapids, Michigan. The tournament will play a final round of 18 Sunday, August 31.
Leading the way for the Eagles, who shot a 335 as a team, was freshmanÂ
Megan Pendergraff (Henderson, Kentucky). Pendergraff shot an 80 and was tied for 12th.

Amanda Zehner (Henderson, Kentucky) followed Pendergraff on the USI squad with an 83, tying for 19th. Zehner was the GLVC Freshman of the Year a year ago and became the first USI women's golfer to qualify for the NCAA Division II East Regional last spring.
