EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team rounded out Great Lakes Valley Conference play with 9-0 and 6-3 losses to the University of Indianapolis and Lewis University over the weekend.
USI vs. UINDY
The Eagles (9-13, 1-4 GLVC) first stopped in Greenwood, Indiana, for a showdown with the #25 Greyhounds, falling 9-0.
USI vs. LEWIS
Up next for the Eagles were the Flyers. USI compiled three wins by default from the number three doubles spot in freshman
Anna McDonald (Tallahassee, Florida) and sophomore
Alex Jamison (Floyd Knobs, Indiana). Senior
Jennifer Mizikar (Batavia, Illinois) and freshman
Lauryn Thompson (Evansville, Indiana) also won by default in the singles competition.
This concludes the Eagles' 2018 spring season. Mizikar and Thompson finished with and 11-9 record in the doubles competition with sophomore
Lauren Hambrock (Terre Haute, Indiana) and senior
Kelsey Shipman (Olney, Illinois) compiling a 12-15 record.
In the singles competition, Hambrock, Shipman, and Mizikar tied for the team lead with nine wins each.
