EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team continued their stretch of spring games in Florida where they fell in both matches, 5-4 against Concordia College-New York and 9-0 to Florida Tech.

The Eagles notched their first victory of the day in number one doubles with the duo of sophomore
Lauren Hambrock (Terre Haute, Indiana) and senior
Kelsey Shipman (Olney, Illinois) who won in 8-2. Next came at number three doubles with senior
Jennifer Mizikar (Batavia, Illinois) and
Lauryn Thompson (Evansville, Indiana) tacking on another victory in 8-2.
In the singles competition, USI took away two more wins first with Hambrock defeating her opponent in 6-1, 6-0. Shipman followed suit with a win of her own 6-2, 6-3.
USI vs. FLORIDA TECH
USI then ventured to Satellite Beach, Florida where they met the Panthers falling in all nine matches.
The Eagles continue their Florida trip Thursday, March 8 and Friday, March 9 first with a match against East Florida State College in Cocoa, Florida and then with Grand Valley State University in Orlando, Florida.
