ST. LOUIS, MO - The University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team was defeated by the University of Missouri-St. Louis, 9-0, Saturday afternoon in St. Louis, Missouri. The Screaming Eagles move to 3-8 after eight days off from competition.
The Eagles struggled in doubles play losing all three matches which began at 12 noon in St. Louis. In singles play,
Kymberly Brannon (Louisville, Kentucky) won her first set at number four. UMSL's Renee Verbhoven evened the match with a win in the second set before sealing the match, 10-5, in the tiebreaker.
USI will now prepare for their first of four straight home matches. Kentucky Wesleyan College will make their way to Evansville this week for a mid-week match-up on Wednesday beginning at 4:30.
