BELLEVILLE, Ill.- The University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team defeated Lindenwood University-Belleville, 9-0, Friday evening on the road in Belleville, Illinois. In their first dual match up the spring, the Screaming Eagles improved their 2015-16 record to 2-1. 
USI junior 
Brenna Wu (Evansville, Indiana) led the Eagles in their defeat of the Lynx. Wu teamed with 
Elizabeth Wilm (Evansville, Indiana) to pick up an 8-2 win at number one doubles. Later in the evening, Wu defeated Belleville's Alissa Wieman without surrendering a single set winning 6-0, 6-0. 
Wilm picked up a win, also, at number one singles defeating her opponent 6-1, 6-3. 
Kelsey Shipman (Olney, Illinois) and 
Kymberly Brannon (Louisville, Kentucky) also picked up two wins a piece. The duo competed at number two doubles earning an 8-2 victory. Shipman pulled out a 6-1, 6-2 victory at number two singles. Brannon sealed the match for USI picking up the Eagles' fifth win of the contest, 6-2, 6-1. 
The Eagles have a quick turnaround as they travel to Lindenwood University tomorrow for a 4 P.M. match up with the Lions in St. Charles, Missouri.
