EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team swept Lindenwood University Belleville Saturday at the Evansville Tennis Center. USI rises to 6-2 overall, while LUB falls to 0-1.
The Screaming Eagles swept through the doubles matches with sophomore
Brenna Wu and freshman
Ashlee Hasson posting an 8-3 win at number one. Juniors
Elizabeth Wilm and
Elizabeth Skinner picked up the Eagles second doubles victory at number two with an 8-4 triumph. Freshman
Kelsey Shipman and sophomore
Kymberly Brannon completed the doubles sweep with an 8-0 demolishing of the Lynx at number three.
In singles action, Shipman and
Miranda Camp did not relinquish a single game with a pair of 6-0, 6-0 wins at number four and five singles, respectively. In all, the Eagles dropped just seven games in singles play.
The Eagles return to the Evansville Tennis Center for their next action March 7 when they host Taylor University for a 4 p.m. match.
