EVANSVILLE, Ind.---The University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team suffered an 8-1 setback to Midwest region foe Walsh University Sunday evening. USI falls to 4-2 on the season, while the Cavaliers move to 8-8.
Walsh opened competition with a sweep of doubles play including an 8-0 victory at number one doubles. The Cavaliers continued their success in singles play, winning number one through five matches. Sophomore
Kymberly Brannon (Louisville, Ky.) secured the lone Eagles' victory at number six singles 6-2, 7-5.
The Screaming Eagles (4-2) return to action Saturday at 5:30 p.m. when they host Lindenwood University at the Evansville Tennis Center.
