Kaelyn Lingenfelter recorded a top-five finish as the University of Southern Indiana women's golf team finished second out of seven teams at the Maryville University Spring Invitational. The second round of the invitational was cancelled due to unfavorable weather conditions.
Lingenfelter finished in a tie for fourth after shooting a single round 78 Sunday, three strokes off the winning pace set by Drury University's Margaret Alumno. As a team, the Screaming Eagles shot 327 in the only round to finish second, 11 strokes behind first-place Drury.
Junior
Andrea Ribelin, playing as an unattached player, also finished in a tie for 4th in the 47-player field, while freshman
Allison Koester finished in a tie for 7th as an unattached player.
The Eagles return to action April 13-14 when they compete at the Missouri-St. Louis Triton Spring Invitational in St. Louis, Missouri.
