BOX SCORE: USI 6, IU Southeast 3GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team remained unbeaten in fall action with a 6-3 road victory over Indiana University Southeast Sunday afternoon in New Albany, Indiana.
The Screaming Eagles took control of its second dual match of the season by posting wins at number one and three doubles. Junior
Elizabeth Wilm (Evansville, Indiana) and freshman
Ashlee Hasson (Columbus, Illinois) put USI on the scoreboard with an 8-1 win at number one doubles, while sophomore
Brenna Wu (Evansville, Indiana) and f
reshman Kelsey Shipman (Olney, Illinois) clinched the doubles portion of the match, 8-0, at number three.
USI wrapped the up the match by winning four of the six singles matches. Hasson, Wu, Shipman, and freshman
Jennifer Mizikar (Batavia, Illinois) led the way with straight-set wins at number one, three, four, and six.
The Eagles conclude fall action October 8 when they travels to Brescia University in Owensboro, Kentucky, for a 4 p.m. match.
