Women’s tennis notches second straight win

CHARLESTON, W.V.—The University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team took two-of-three doubles matches and four-of-six singles contests to post a 6-3 win over the University of Charleston (W.V.) Sunday afternoon.

USI (2-1) posted wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles before winning decisions at No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 singles to claim the victory.

Senior Morgan Coquerille posted wins at No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles to improve to a combined 6-0 on the year. Sophomore Elizabeth Skinner also improved to 6-0 on the season as she picked up wins at No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles.

Sophomore Elizabeth Wilm and freshman Brenna Wu also posted a pair of victories Sunday. Wilm was successful at No. 2 singles after pairing with Wu for a win at No. 1 doubles. Wu posted her second win of the day at No. 3 singles.

The Screaming Eagles continue their fall season Saturday when they travel to Charleston, Illinois, to take Eastern Illinois University for a noon match.
