Eagles struggle at Lewis

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team fell to No. 41 Lewis University 7-2 Saturday afternoon in a Great Lakes Valley Conference tilt.
 
The Screaming Eagles have lost three straight and are now 7-8 overall and 2-2 in the conference. The Flyers improve to 8-3 and are a perfect 4-0 in the GLVC.
 
Junior Shannon Joyce and senior Logan Ackerman had a battle on the No. 3 doubles court, but lost a heartbreaker 9-7.
 
Junior Morgan Coquerille at No.3 singles picked up a win as she downed Megan Nguyen 6-4, 7-5. Ackerman was in another thriller at No. 6 singles as she went three sets and claimed the 6-4, 2-6, 10-8 win.
 
USI and Saint Joseph's College do battle Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. in Rensselaer, Indiana.
