Alyssa Hoover each had a 6-0 victory in their sets to help the University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team to a 9-0 blanking of Lindenwood University Saturday night at the Evansville Tennis Center.
Freshman
Elizabeth Wilm at No. 1 singles went to a three-set tiebreaker, but won 10-5 in the third to keep the Screaming Eagles flawless. At No. 4 singles, senior
Ellena Stumpf was also in a tight contest, but survived with a 7-5, 6-4 win.
Senior
Logan Ackerman at No. 5 singles was a winner 6-1, 6-1, and No. 6 Hoover won her first set 6-2 and the second 6-0. White, who was playing at No. 2 singles eased her way to a first set victory 6-0, and hung on to the second set 6-4.
In two of the three doubles matches, USI did not allow the Lions to win more than two games. Junior
Morgan Coquerille and freshman
Elizabeth Skinner won No. 2 doubles 8-1.
February 23 is the next action for the Eagles as they travel to Tennessee to take on Austin Peay State University.
