Ellena Stumpf were winners at No.3 doubles for the University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team, but Austin Peay State University downed the Screaming Eagles 6-1.
 
Joyce and Stumpf had the lone win for USI with a 9-8 victory over Jovana Karac and Mary Theresa Kubek of APSU.

Elizabeth Skinner and junior 
Morgan Coquerille were in a battle at No.2 doubles, but could not pull out the win, falling 8-4.
 
In singles action, USI lost at one, two and three by a straight set count of 6-1, 6-1. At No.4 singles, Stumpf pushed the match to the edge in the opener, 7-5, but could not regain the momentum and dropped the second set 6-1.
 
Monday morning is the next match for USI as it welcomes Midwest Region foe Lake Superior State University to town for 10:30 a.m. start at the Evansville Tennis Center.
