SPRINGFIELD, Mo.  – The 36th-ranked University of Southern Indiana men's tennis team bowed out of the NCAA Division II Tournament with a 5-1 loss to 16th-ranked Drury University Monday morning in Springfield, Missouri. USI finishes the season with a 15-8 overall record, while Drury continues with a 16-3 mark.
 
 
The Panthers took control of the contest during doubles play, winning all three of the matches. The Screaming Eagles missed a chance to take one of the matches when junior 
Nathan Lattimer (Muncie, Indiana) and sophomore 
Ben Boesing (Floyds Knobs, Indiana) lost 9-8 at number three doubles after dropping the tiebreaker, 7-1.
 
Drury clinched the win with straight set victories at number one and two singles, but not before USI got on the scoreboard at number three singles. Senior 
Joseph Boesing (Floyds Knobs, Indiana) won USI's only match of the morning in straight sets, winning a tiebreaker in the second set.
 
The Eagles were making their second straight appearance and their eighth appearance as a team in the NCAA II Tournament. USI also was a GLVC Tournament finalist this season.
