Biography
2012-13: Named first-team Capital One Academic All-American for a second-straight year and All-District IV for a third-straight year...honored by the NCAA with an Elite 89 award, the first by any USI student athlete...also recognized with a GLVC Council of Presidents Academic Excellence Award...earned a second-straight All-GLVC honor as a senior...set the USI career record for singles wins (83) and ranks second all-time in combined wins (162)...led USI in sinlges victories with 24-4 overall mark, 18-1 in dual matches...alsow as 24-7 in doubles...helped lead the Eagles to their first NCAA II regional championship and NCAA II Championships appearance.
2011-12: Named first-team Capital One Academic All-American and All-District IV...named All-GLVC for the first time in his career along with receiving Academic All-GLVC honors...led the team with 27 singles victories, two short of the USI single-season record...posted a team-best 21 singles wins in dual matches...was 1-0 at number one; 5-1 at number two; and 15-2 at number three...combined with Nathan Lattimer and Rodrigo Flores to post a 21-10 doubles record...was 18-6 in dual matches when teamed with Floes.
2010-11: Named Capital One Academic All-District IV and Academic All-GLVC...posted a 15-2 overall singles record, 4-0 in the GLVC...was 6-1 at number four singles and 8-1 at number five singles...combined with four different doubles' partners to post a 14-7 mark...was 4-1 in conference doubles play, going 2-0 with brother Joseph and 2-1 with Juan Quiroz.
2009-10: Named the ITA Midwest Region "Rookie of the Year" and Academic All-GLVC...posted a 17-2 overall record in singles after joining the team in January...played 11 matches at number four singles, six at number five singles, and two at number two singles...also was 5-0 in the GLVC...combined with fellow freshman Juan Quiroz to record a 19-4 doubles record as the number two team in the line up...was a perfect 5-0 in GLVC matches with Quiroz...also won a doubles match at number two with Robert Nieters.
TRANSFER: Transferred to USI after attending Indiana University in 2009.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in tennis at Floyd Central High School (Floyds Knobs, Indiana)...named first-team All-State as a senior in 2008 and second team All-State as a junior in 2007.
PERSONAL: Son of Joe, Jr., and Donna Boesing.
