Morgan Coquerille at number two doubles.
Sophomore
Lindsey White's straight-set victory at number two singles kept the Eagles alive after USI suffered losses at number one and three singles.
Stumpf and freshman
Alyssa Hoover had wins at number four and six singles, respectively, but a straight-set loss at number five singles ended USI's chance at a comeback.
The Eagles return to Great Lakes Valley Conference play Friday at 1 p.m. (CDT) when they visit the University of Indianapolis in a men's and women's doubleheader.
