BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- The University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team started the spring portion of its schedule with a 6-3 loss at Division I Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. USI falls to 2-1, while WKU goes to 3-0.

WKU started the match by sweeping the doubles matches before winning three of six in singles play. USI sophomore Lindsey White (Batesville, Indiana) put USI on the scoreboard with a straight-set win at number two singles.

Eagles' freshman Morgan Coquerille (Sellersburg, Indiana) followed with three-set win at number three singles. Freshman Alyssa Hoover (Greenwood, Indiana) concluded the scoring for the Eagles with a straight-set victory at number six.

USI resumes action February 25 when it travels to Lindenwood University for 5 p.m. match.
