GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team posted a 2-0 mark in the Georgetown Invitational with a 9-0 win over Cedarville University and a 6-3 victory over Georgetown College. USI starts the 2011-12 campaign with a 2-0 mark in dual matches.
The Screaming Eagles nearly ran the table against Cedarville, dropping only one set in the 9-0 victory.
After losing a tight match at number one doubles, USI rallied back to take control in doubles and defeated Georgetown 6-3. Junior

Morgan Coquerille put the Eagles on the scoreboard with an 8-4 win at number two doubles, while junior
Logan Ackerman and sophomore
Alyssa Hoover gave USI the lead with an 8-2 win at number three doubles.
USI clinched the victory over Georgetown by taking four of the six singles matches. Coquerille led USI in singles with a 6-0 and 6-1 victory at number two, while Ackerman and Hoover recorded 6-1, 6-3 wins at number five and six singles.
The Eagles finish the fall schedule Sunday when they visit the University of Charleston.
