HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky.—The University of Southern Indiana men's tennis team racked up an impressive 8-1 victory over the host Northern Kentucky University Norse Friday afternoon.

USI (14-3, 2-0 GLVC) took all three doubles matches before clinching the contest with five straight-set wins in singles play.

Sophomore Diego Gimenez, junior Joseph Boesing, and freshman Ben Boesing each recorded a pair of wins to lead the Screaming Eagles.

Gimenez paired with Joseph Boesing to record a nail-biting 9-8 (7-2) victory at number one doubles. He went on to a 7-6 (11-9), 6-3 win at number one singles, while Joseph Boesing won in straight sets at three singles.

Ben Boesing teamed with fellow classmate Juan Quiroz (Valencia, Venezuela) for an 8-5 win at two doubles before going on to a straight-set win at four singles.

The Eagles return to action Saturday at 10 a.m. when they travel to Rensselaer, Indiana, to take on Saint Joseph's College in a men's and women's doubleheader.
