ALLENDALE, Mich.—The University of Southern Indiana women's golf team shot a 312 in Monday's opening-round and a 325 in the final round on Tuesday to finish with a two-day total of 637 and in a tie for sixth in the 17-team Grand Valley State University Laker Fall Classic at the Meadows Golf Course.
Sophomore
Jessica Dooley (Goshen, Indiana) fired a team-best 13-over-par 157 (79, 78) and finished in a tie for 15th while junior
Tara Wiley (Oxford, Indiana) and sophomore
Kimberly Gottwald (Ft. Wayne, Indiana) finished in a tie for 21st after shooting two-day totals of 159.
Gottwald had the team's low round when she shot an opening-round 75 on Monday. Wiley matched Dooley's team-best 78 in Tuesday's final round.
USI returns to action September 15-16 when it takes part in the Illinois Wesleyan University Fall Classic in Bloomington, Illinois. The Eagles host the Ray Wright/Screaming Eagles Golf Classic September 23-24 at Cambridge Golf Course in Evansville, Indiana.
