EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana men's tennis team fell to the University of Indianapolis, 6-3, in a non-conference match Saturday at the USI Tennis Courts.
Sophomore
Andrew McGuire (Greenwood, Indiana) and freshman
Dustin Thomas (Corydon, Indiana) picked up victories for the Screaming Eagles in singles competition, while McGuire teamed with freshman
Nathan Moore (Santee, California) to win at number two doubles.
McGuire (7-11) defeated Alan McDowell in straight sets at number three singles, while Thomas (2-10) defeated Felipe Rojas in straight sets at number six singles.
USI (1-13) returns to GLVC action Tuesday when it visits Southern Illinois University Edwardsville at 3 p.m. The Eagles finish the regular season with GLVC home matches against the University of Missouri-St. Louis (April 14, 3 p.m.) and Quincy University (April 15, 9 a.m.).
