The University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team closed out the Great Lakes Valley Conference schedule with a 5-1 victory over Northern Kentucky University Thursday evening. The Eagles finishes its dual match schedule with an 8-1 record overall and in the league.
Over the next two weeks, the Eagles will participate in individual tournaments. The squad will start with the Lady Aces Invitational at the University of Evansville Friday and Saturday, September 27-28, and the ITA Regional in Indianapolis, Indiana, Friday, October 4, through Sunday, October 6.
The Eagles finish the fall schedule as the number two seed in the GLVC Tournament in St. Louis, Missouri, Friday and Saturday, October 11-12. USI, which has been second each of the last two years in the GLVC, will be attempting to win its first women's tennis conference title since 1985.
