EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Men's Golf competes at the Grover Page Classic, hosted by the University of Tennessee at Martin, Monday and Tuesday in Jackson, Tennessee, to open its 2026-27 schedule.
 
The Screaming Eagles are playing in the Grover Page Classic for the third consecutive year.  The tournament returns to Jackson Country Club for the first time since 2024 and will be a par-72 played at 7,020 yards. Teams will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday. Both days are scheduled for shotgun starts at 8:15 a.m.
 
The ten teams competing in the Grover Page Classic will be: University of Arkansas Pine-Bluff, Eastern Illinois University, Indian Hills Community College, Missouri State University, Samford University, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Southeastern Louisiana University, Tennessee State University, host UT Martin, and USI. Middle Tennessee State University will be competing only in the individual portion of the tournament.
 
The Screaming Eagles' best previous finish at the Grover Page Classic was sixth in 2024.  In last year's edition, held at The Links at Audubon in Memphis, Tennessee, USI improved its scoring after a slow start in the first round. Former Screaming Eagle Sam Gargis led the squad, shooting 212 (-1).
 
The team looks to take a step forward this year under Head Coach Ryan Chandler with a mix of returning players and newcomers. The USI scoring lineup this week is led by sophomore Ingtawan Wangrungwichaisri, graduate senior Jonas Arnstrom-Bakker, freshman Loic Simard, junior Jairen Stroud, and junior Chandler Ornelas.  Sophomore Weston Hardy and junior Alex Peck will be competing as individuals.
