EVANSVILLE, Ind. - University of Southern Indiana Women's Golf had a pair of athletes named to the College Sports Communications Academic All-District team for NCAA Division I.

To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District Award, the student-athlete must possess a minimum of a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) as an undergraduate and graduate (if applicable). They must have reached a sophomore athletic and academic standing at the institution. Eligible nominees must compete in four competitions or finish in the top eight at a conference championship meet.

The Screaming Eagles earned four slots on this year's list. Sophomore duo
Brianna Kirsch and
Fernanda Vera, along with junior
Tora Timinsky and graduate student
Valeria Lopez de Haro Juste, all earned a selection onto the team.

Kirsch, a business administration major, dazzled in her sophomore campaign, leading the team with a per-round average of just 79.86 strokes while tying for the most rounds played at 28. She earned the team's lowest round score of the season with a 66 (-6) at the Ohio Valley Championships, leading to a 23rd overall finish.
Vera, a business administration major, averaged a per-round score of 79.92, finishing with the third-lowest average on the team. The sophomore nabbed her lowest round of the season at the Charles Braun Invitational, shooting a 74 (+2), leading to a 17th-place finish at the event.

Timinsky, a communication studies major, joined the Eagles this season after two years at Northwest Nazarene University. In her first season at USI, she averaged 80.93 strokes per round while playing 28 rounds. The junior earned a season-high finish of fifth at the Charles Braun Invitational following a two-round score of 153.
Lopez de Haro Juste, a business major, transferred to USI after spending four seasons at Emmanuel University. The graduate student participated in 23 rounds in her first season with the Eagles, averaging the second lowest per-round score of 79.87. She earned a top 10 finish at the Windy City Invitational last fall following a 156 two-round performance.
