EVANSVILLE, Ind.- University of Southern Indiana Men's Golf begins postseason play in the Ohio Valley Conference Championship at the Ackerman-Allen Golf Course in West Lafayette, Indiana. The tournament runs Sunday through Wednesday, April 26-29.
11 programs will compete for the OVC championship: affiliate member Bryant University, Eastern Illinois University, Lindenwood University, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Morehead State University, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, the University of Southern Indiana, Tennessee State University, Tennessee Tech University, the University of Tennessee at Martin, and Western Illinois University.

Little Rock enters the weekend as the defending conference champions, earning their second in three years, scoring an 847 in stroke play before going 2-0 in match play to secure the crown.
Format and Course
The tournament will consist of three rounds of stroke play, with the top four scores from each team counting toward the round total. After 54 holes, the top four teams will advance to match play on the final day.

Ackerman-Allen Course houses a par-72, measuring approximately 7,100 yards. Competition is scheduled to begin each day at approximately 7 a.m., though start times are subject to change.

Regular Season Recap
USI has competed in 12 events during the 2025-26 season. The team most recently competed at the Wright State Invitational, finishing 11th out of 13 teams, while Goebel placed 20th individually with a 217 three-round total.
The season was highlighted by a 12th-place finish out of 19 teams at the Dolenc Invitational, hosted by Southern Illinois University Edwardsville on September 29-30. USI posted its best round of the season in the opening round of that event, carding a 279 (-5).
Peck and Goebel shared the team's lowest individual rounds of the season. Peck fired a 65 (-5) at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational, while Goebel recorded a 66 (-5) at the Wright State Invitational. Goebel also led the team in scoring average, posting a 73.80 average, 0.15 strokes better than second-place Gargis.
