EVANSVILLE, Ind. — University of Southern Indiana Baseball heads south for a four-game road swing, beginning with an Ohio Valley Conference three-game set at Little Rock this weekend. The USI-Little Rock series starts Friday at 6 p.m.; continues Saturday at 4 p.m.; and concludes Sunday at 1 p.m. at Gary Hogan Field in Little Rock, Arkansas.
USI, which is 16-9, finishes its four-game road trip Tuesday (March 31) when it visits Middle Tennessee State for a 4 p.m. matchup at Reece Smith Jr. Field in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

USI finishes homestand with run-rule win. The USI Screaming Eagles finished a four-game homestand with a 13-3 run-rule victory over Ball State Tuesday. The win was the first-ever for USI over Ball State. Senior first baseman

Micajah Wall drove in a team-high three runs.

Noah Foster led USI during the homestand by hitting .571 (8-14) with six runs scored, two doubles, a triple, and three RBIs. Senior designated hitter/catcher

DiPasquale named OVC Pitcher of the Week. Junior right-hander
Ean DiPasquale was named the OVC Pitcher of the week after throwing a seven-inning complete game shutout of Western Illinois.
Hitting cools on the road. The USI hitters have been cool while on the road this season. The Screaming Eagles are hitting .295 (135-457) in the 13 road games, while batting .321 at home (125-389).
Pitching on the road vs. at home. USI hurlers are 5-8 on the road trip and have a 5.97 ERA. The staff ERA at home is 4.07 and has an 11-1 record.
Doing it at the plate. USI is putting runs on the scoreboard at an incredible rate. USI leads the OVC with 212 runs scored this season (8.5 per game). The Screaming Eagles also rank second in the OVC with a .307 team batting average.

Patrick McLellan leads USI and is sixth in the OVC with a .373 mark (38-102). Senior shortstop

Patrick McLellan are tied with nine multi-hit games this year. McLellan also leads the team with 10 multi-RBI contests.
Little Rock in 2026. Little Rock is 15-10 overall and 3-0 in the OVC after sweeping Tennessee Tech to open the 2026 OVC slate and defeating Arkansas-Pine Bluff Tuesday. The Trojans are 9-3 in the last 12 games.
USI vs. Little Rock. The Trojans lead the series, 7-3, after splitting four games with USI in 2025. USI won the series at the USI Baseball Field last year (2-1), but Little Rock knocked out the Screaming Eagles out of the OVC Championship last year in the first round.
MTSU in 2026. Middle Tennessee State is 13-12 overall in 2026 and will host New Mexico State this weekend (March 27-29) before welcoming USI.
USI vs. MTSU. USI won the only meeting with Middle Tennessee State, 12-9, in 2024 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
