EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Baseball will host the second annual Dugout Club Golf Outing at John James Audubon Golf Course in Henderson, Kentucky, on Saturday, October 17.
"Last year, the golf outing was a fun event that came down to a three-way tie and putt-off to decide the winning team," says USI Baseball Head Coach,
Chris Ramirez. "Events like this and the end of the fall baseball banquet are fun opportunities for people to stay connect with and show support for Screaming Eagles Baseball."
The 18-hole, best-ball golf outing will have a 10 a.m. shotgun start, with prizes for the winning team, closest to the pin, and longest drive.
Registration for the outing is open now and does not require a Dugout Club membership. However, fans and alumni are invited to join the Dugout Club, an exclusive club that supports the USI baseball program. All donations and support go directly to the Screaming Eagles' baseball program.
"The dugout club is designed to provide alumni, fans, and donors exclusive access, specialized benefits, and opportunities to directly support and stay connected with the USI baseball program," continues Ramirez. "This is the most direct way you can impact and provide a first-class experience for our players. Every dollar raised goes directly to the baseball program and is greatly appreciated."
Following the golf outing on October 17, the Screaming Eagles will host an intersquad scrimmage for Alumni Day at USI Baseball Field, starting at 5 p.m. Alumni and family are invited to watch the scrimmage and join current players for a catch, pictures, and cookout.
Screaming Eagles' fans can also save the date for the USI Baseball Banquet on Saturday, November 14. Attendees will experience a meet-and-greet with the team and coaches that includes dinner and drinks, and a night out talking USI Baseball.
