EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana junior infielder Parker Martin was named to the Ohio Valley Conference All-Tournament for his efforts in leading the Screaming Eagles to the semifinals of the league championship last week.
 
Martin was key to the Screaming Eagles' success, hitting .412 (7-13) with three runs scored, two doubles, two home runs, and seven RBI. The two home runs and seven RBI were team-highs for USI during the tournament.  
 
The junior infielder's best game of the tournament came in the victory over Southeast Missouri State when he went three-for-five with a double and four RBI. The Missouri City, Texas, native drove in the tying runs in the eighth inning with a two-run double before pushing the eventual game-winning runs across the plate in the ninth with a two-run single.
 
For the season, Martin finished 2026 with a .272 average in 56 games (54 starts). He also had 39 RBIs, 13 doubles, and four home runs.
 
Martin and the Screaming Eagles concluded 2026 with a program best for wins (29) since the move to Division I and tied their longest run in the OVC Championship for the second time in two seasons.
