USI falls to TTU, 6-1

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana Men's Tennis (2-12, 0-3 Horizon) lost a 6-1 decision to Tennessee Tech University (2-8, 2-0 Horizon) on Saturday afternoon at the USI Tennis Courts.
 
Doubles
The Screaming Eagles lost the doubles point in the first two completed matches. USI lost at number one doubles and two doubles, 6-4 and 6-0. Number one doubles went unfinished after the Golden Eagles captured the point.
 
Singles
USI sophomore Alex Sabourin (France) picked up the Screaming Eagles' lone victory of the match, taking number two singles in a tiebreaking set (6-2, 4-6, 6-3). The Golden Eagles would follow by closing out the match by taking five of the six singles matches.
 
What's Next
The Screaming Eagles return to play on April 13 when they host Tennessee State University at the USI Tennis Courts at 11 a.m. for a Horizon League match.
