BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Freshman distance runner
Zoe Seward (Rochester, Indiana) raced to a third-place finish in the 5,000 meters Wednesday evening to lead University of Southern Indiana Women's Track & Field to a ninth-place finish at the Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Championships.
Seward finished the race in 17 minutes, 25.22 seconds, giving the Screaming Eagles six points with her podium finish.
USI finished the meet with nine total points, with senior
Kati Hoerig (Prospect, Kentucky) finishing eighth in the 5,000 meters and junior
Audrey Comastri (Indianapolis, Indiana) racing to a seventh-place showing in the 800 meters Thursday afternoon.
The Eagles return to action March 29-30 when the open the 2024 season at the Joey Haines Invitational in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and the WashU Distance Carnival in St. Louis, Missouri.
