INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Women's Track & Field had a double-meet weekend where the Screaming Eagles split between the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational in Louisville, Kentucky, and the IUPUI Invitational in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Sophomore
Micah Peals (Terre Haute, Indiana) stole the show by winning the 3,000 meters at the IUPUI Invitational on Saturday with a personal-best time of ten minutes and 30.98 seconds. Also nabbing a top-five finish in the race was junior
Katie Winkler (Santa Claus, Indiana) who took home fourth place with a time of 10:35.63.
Sophomore
Emily Rempe (Owensboro, Kentucky) and junior
Audrey Comastri (Indianapolis, Indiana) each earned top-10 finishes in the mile at IUPUI with Rempe earning fifth place with a personal-best time of 5:09.76 while Comastri crossed the line in 5:14.57 to earn eighth. In the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational, freshman
Zoe Seward (Rochester, Indiana) captured 10th place in the 3,000 meters with a time of 10:04.84, just one second shy of a new personal best.
