Eagles dominate 5,000 meters, notch three provisionals

ST. LOUIS—University of Southern Indiana Men's Track & Field posted three NCAA Division II provisional qualifying times Friday as the Screaming Eagles claimed the top five finishes in the 5,000 meters at the WashU Distance Carnival.

Junior Titus Winders (Mansfield, Tennessee) paced the field with his provisional time of 13 minutes, 58.06 seconds. Senior Austin Nolan (Evansville, Indiana) was second with a provisional time of 14:17.75, while sophomore Silas Winders (Mansfield, Tennessee) rounded out the Eagles' provisional marks with a third-place finish and time of 14:22.75.

Rounding out the top five finishers was junior Noah Hufnagel (Santa Claus, Indiana) and senior Wyat Harmon (Fredericktown, Ohio), who were fourth and fifth, respectively.

The Eagles return to action Saturday when they compete at the Joey Haines Invitational in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
