EVANSVILLE, Ind. — The University of Southern Indiana baseball team continues its non-conference schedule this week with a neutral site match-up with Young Harris College in the Perfect Game Spring Swing before hosting Drury University for a non-conference three-game series Thursday and Friday. The USI-Young Harris contest at the Perfect Game Complex in Emerson, Georgia, is Wednesday at 3 p.m. (CST), while the Eagles' three-game series versus Drury has been changed to a single game Thursday at 5 p.m. and a Friday doubleheader at 1 p.m.

SCREAMING EAGLES BASEBALL NOTES:
USI starts road trip 1-2. The Screaming Eagles (3-5) went 1-2 to start the four-game road trip, losing two to Trevecca Nazarene before salvaging the final game. The Trojans took the single game, 7-4, and the opener of a doubleheader, 6-3, while USI took the nightcap of the twin bill, 9-3. Junior utility player
Nathan Kuester, who has been in the line-up as the designated hitter, first base, and catcher this spring, led USI by hitting .500 during the three game series with two home runs, six RBIs, and four runs scored.

Archuleta at USI. USI Head Coach
Tracy Archuleta is USI's all-time winningest coach with a record of 381-197 (.659) in nine-plus seasons and is 529-321 (.622) in 14-plus seasons all-time as a head coach. He has been named the ABCA Division II Coach of the Year twice (2010 and 2014) after leading the Screaming Eagles to a pair of national championships and the ABCA Division II Midwest Region Coach of the Year after leading USI to the regional crown in 2016. Archuleta also has earned a pair of GLVC Coach of the Year awards (2011 and 2014) at USI.
USI vs. Young Harris. USI and Young Harris (4-11), a member of the Peach Belt Conference for baseball, will be meeting for the first time in the history of the programs on Wednesday. The Eagles are 23-46 all-time against members of the Peach Belt Conference that includes Armstrong State University, Augusta University, Clayton State University, Columbus State University, Flagler College, Francis Marion University, Georgia College & State University, Georgia Southwestern State University, Lander University, University of Montevallo, University of North Carolina at Pembroke, University of North Georgia, University of South Carolina Aiken, and Young Harris.
USI vs. Drury. USI holds a 20-7 all-time series lead with Drury (7-4) after sweeping a three-game non-conference series in Springfield, Missouri, last year. The Eagles also have won seven of the last nine match-ups with the Panthers.
