ROMEOVILLE, Ill.---The University of Southern Indiana men's tennis team defeated Tiffin University, 8-1, Saturday morning in Romeoville, Illinois in their final match of the Lewis Classic. The 45
th-ranked Screaming Eagles move to 9-3 on the year in dual matches with their fourth win of the week.

At number-two doubles, the senior team of
Jack Joyce (Bournemouth, England) and
Joel Stern (Mjoelby, Sweden) improved their record to 5-0 on the year with an 8-1 victory. Junior
Paul Forichon (Nimes, France) and sophomore
Samuel Kiladejo (London, England) earned a hard-fought victory at number-one with an 8-6 victory to send the match into singles competition.

Freshman
James Hardiman (Blackwell Bristol, United Kingdom) started singles play with a win at number-three without dropping a set. The Eagles earned their ninth victory of the year after Stern earned a 6-1, 6-2 victory at number-four to give USI their fifth win of the match. Junior
Aaron Barris (Marietta, Georgia) earned a 6-1, 6-0 win while Joyce defeated his Tiffin opponent 6-1, 6-2.
The match was the last tune-up for USI before the start of conference play. After ten matches on the road, the Eagles return to the USI Tennis Courts for the first time this spring on April 2. The Prairie Stars of the University of Illinois Springfield will come to Evansville for an 11 a.m. start.Â
