EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana Women's Tennis team stormed to a 9-0 blanking of Taylor University Saturday evening at the Evansville Tennis Center.
The rout began with the Screaming Eagles sweeping all three doubles matches, relinquishing just a single game. Juniors
Elizabeth Wilm and
Elizabeth Skinner and sophomore
Kymberly Brannon and freshman
Kelsey Shipman swept number two and three doubles respectively.
In singles competition, freshman
Jennifer Mizikar lead the Eagles with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at number six, while sophomore
Brenna Wu achieved a 6-4, 6-0 triumph at number two singles. USI notched its third-straight victory with the win over the Trojans after dropping its first two contests to start the spring season.
The Eagles hit the road for a string of three matches in Cocoa Beach, Florida beginning with a contest against Ferris State University on Wednesday, March 11.
